    About Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is the largest of Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island’s four locations. Situated on 250 acres in Coram, over 50 acres have been developed for burials since it first opened its gates in 1942. The cemetery serves the Catholic community in Suffolk County under the guidance and support of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Holy Sepulchre offers a wide variety of respectful and dignified burial options for Catholics to spend eternity. In addition to traditional in-ground burial plots, there are indoor and outdoor columbarium options. The Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel Mausoleum contains beautiful glass front niches, as well as corridors with marble crypts. For those wishing to be close to nature, the Holy Cross Garden and Resurrection Garden Mausoleums provide surrounded-by-glass crypts overlooking landscaped courtyards.

Additionally, Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island performs charitable burials through its partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Society. This ensures any Catholic in need is provided a dignified resting place, upholding the Corporal Work of Mercy. Holy Sepulchre serves as home to Emily’s Gift, an area dedicated in cooperation with St. Charles Hospital. Here, families grieving early pregnancy losses can lay to rest stillborn, miscarried or aborted babies in their own sacred space.

For over eight decades, through changes in the Long Island community, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery has faithfully served its Catholic residents. Monthly Masses and special events help the living continue bonds with their loved ones interred here. Well-maintained grounds, carefully planned maps and regular visitor information keeps the memory of those at rest cherished and honored. The cemetery fulfills its mission of providing eternal refuge, supported by its knowledgeable and compassionate staff.
