About Breslau Cemetery
Breslau Cemetery, located in Lindenhurst New York, is a 16-acre cemetery established in 1875 by Thomas Wellwood, one of the founders of the City of Breslau now Lindenhurst. He had purchased a vast amount of land in the mid-1870s and deeded the land, now Breslau Cemetery (lots 1 to 60) to the residents of Breslau. Volunteers who offered to lay out the road from Wellwood Avenue to the cemetery were given a plot for their efforts.
